Rural Health and Wellbeing Research – Have your say!
Community First Oxfordshire has implemented work with Healthwatch for Oxfordshire County Council to gather information about people’s experiences of health and care in fourteen rural areas in Oxfordshire. Cropredy has been selected to participate
Published: 5 February 2026
Cropredy has been selected as one of the areas for the research and we’re asking local residents to participate in the online survey (and optionally the focus group).
This work is part of Oxfordshire’s coordinated focus on understanding the barriers and opportunities to health and care in rural areas, and the wider building blocks of health. These communities have been selected on the basis of ‘population health data’ which indicates that they have pockets of inequalities in health. This is part of Oxfordshire Marmot focus on health inequalities and tackling the underlying causes. See here for more information: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/social-and-health-care/public-health-and-wellbeing/oxfordshire-marmot-place/marmot-place-programme
The final report will be used by Oxfordshire County Council and others to help plan services and understand more about the needs of these rural communities.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could complete the survey yourself and share the information and survey link with residents (website, social media, mailing lists etc.) and if possible, display the attached a poster with the survey link.
